Haiming Guo uses his art as a means to connect two cultures, drawing heavily from both American and Chinese iconography. By layering cultural elements with personal interpretation, he creates a dialogue between two different cultural spaces.

“I still use a lot of found images and found objects from the Chinese culture, but also changing the context where I recontextualized them into the contemporary American society,” Guo said.
