I’ve been quiet for a while — and this video explains why. 🤍
It wasn’t depression. It wasn’t burnout. It was something harder to explain — I just felt numb. Confused. Like I couldn’t quite recognise myself or make sense of what I was feeling.
And the hardest part? I didn’t realise at the time that bodybuilding was the reason. It took me a while to even connect the dots.
That’s what nobody really talks about — the mental side. Not the discipline and the glow-up, but the quiet, confusing shift that can happen inside you when you’re deep in it. Especially as a woman.
I’m sharing this because I think awareness is everything. When you go into something without knowing the full picture — physically AND mentally — that’s where things can quietly go wrong.
Ask yourself: if these changes were still here in 5 to 10 years, how would I feel? That question changed the way I approach everything now.
Bodybuilding isn’t the villain here. I love this sport deeply and I always will. But I do think it should be done with more awareness, better guidance, and a coach who actually understands the female body — because we are not small men. 🖤
