With nearly 30 years of history, the Extrema plant plays an important role in Ball’s South America network and operates today as the region’s highest‑volume facility. 

The plant is defined by a consistent focus on performance and continuous improvement. Supported by Ball Operational Excellence routines, teams work collaboratively, use data to guide decisions and stay focused on priorities on the production floor. 

This steady approach has led to improved efficiency and sustained performance gains. In recognition of that progress, Extrema was named South America BOE Plant of the Year in 2025, reflecting the people, culture and commitment behind the results.
