This 1969 @Chevrolet Camaro Baldwin Motion custom topless speedster is powered by a GM crate LS3 Hot Cam V-8 engine producing 500hp, paired with a 6L90E automatic transmission controlled by a GM computer system and driving a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear axle. The chassis is equipped with @ridetechtv coilover suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and @detroitspeed minitubs to accommodate 335-series rear tires. A DeWitts radiator manages cooling, and the car has power @WilwoodDiscBrakes with the booster hidden under the dash. The body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in custom gray paint with red accents using basecoat/clearcoat, followed by wet-sanding and buffing. Exterior features include tucked and smoothed painted bumpers, carbon-fiber Speedster humps, a flush-mounted windshield and custom color-matched three-piece Fiske wheels. Originally built as a convertible, it was converted into Speedster serial number 001 to relaunch the Baldwin Motion brand and incorporates a European-inspired design within the 1969 Camaro platform. The fully custom interior is trimmed in Douglass Products red leather and Alcantara suede and includes a PCS push-button shifter with paddle shifters, Vintage Air climate control, Detroit Speed electric headlight motors operating the RS-style grille, an American @WiringHarness electrical harness and a custom stereo system. Over 2,500 hours were invested in the build. Only test miles since completion.
