## Caption

🥩 Ribeye Tomato Bhuna

This take on a deep rich tomato curry is elevated using a luxury steak cut that transforms the richness of this dish. You can find boneless ribeye by just asking your butcher :) 

Ingredients:
-2 ribeye steaks
-1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
-1 teaspoon of black pepper
-2 bay leaves
-1 cinnamon stick
-2 black cardamom cloves
-3 dried red chilis *optional*
-1/4 cup of mustard oil or olive oil
-1 onion sliced
-2 green thai chilis
-2 tomatoes chopped
-1 1/2 teaspoons of cumin powder
-1 1/2 teaspoons of black pepper
-1 1/2 teaspoon of Kashmiri red chili powder
-1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
-1 teaspoon of garaham masala
-1 teaspoon of curry powder
-1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
-1/4 cup of hot water

Whole Spice blend:
-1 1/2 teaspoons of cumin seeds
-1 1/2 teaspoons of coriander seeds
-2 bay leaves
-1 cinnamon stick
-4-5 black peppercorns

Instructions
1. Slice your ribeye into 1 inch or half inch cubes.
2. Seasoned with salt and black pepper and leave it for room temperature
3. Toast your whole spices for about 30 seconds blend and keep it to the side.
4. In a large pot, add your mustard oil, your additional whole spices and onions, and sauté.
5. Once the onions are translucent, add your tomatoes and cook the tomatoes down for about 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
6. Add your blended spices and cook for a few more minutes and begin adding in the hot water. 
7. Let the curry cook down for an additional 5 to 10 minutes
8. Add your soy sauce and let it cook for five more minutes.
9. In the meantime, begin searing your ribeye on high heat for about two minutes per side and removed from the pan.
10. Once your curry base reaches a nice thick consistency, add your ribeye in and cook it off for another five minutes on very low heat.
11. Garnish with Cilantro & serve w rice and naan
