One hundred days have passed since the Iowa Legislature began its 2026 session Jan. 12 — and the major issues still unresolved are the same ones lawmakers identified on day one.

On Tuesday, April 21, legislators reach the 100-day mark. It's the day when lawmakers' per-diem payments end, and a traditional target date for adjourning the session.

Much of the oxygen in the Iowa Capitol building has been taken up with discussions on how to cut property taxes.
