The post-war years marked a new era of growth and momentum for the National Western Stock Show. A defining moment came in 1950 with the opening of the Denver Coliseum, ushering in a new chapter with a larger, more modern home for livestock shows, horse shows, and rodeo. 

From new facilities to bigger crowds, this decade set the stage for the world-class event we know today as the best 16 days in January!
