There’s no shame in renting and there’s no shame in not being where conventional society thinks you ‘should’ be - at whatever age. 

We all choose different paths, and sometimes those paths are chosen for us. Life happens! 

But I’m here to say that even when everything seems to have gone wrong and there’s no hope,  just holding on, even by your fingernails, showing up every day and walking through open doors can still lead to unexpected and wonderful journeys. Wonderful journeys that perhaps wouldn’t have happened if things hadn’t ‘gone wrong’. 

For the record, I did buy a beautiful three bed Victorian semi with a garden in South East London, completely on my own when I was 31. But I lost it - and that’s a whole other story for another time!
