Gochujang is a Korean fermented chili paste which is savory, sweet and spicy all at once. It amps up the flavor of anything you add it to and turns these green beans into a flavor bomb 💣.
This sauce is so good it can be tossed into any sautéed vegetables… mushrooms, eggplant or zucchini would be excellent!

Gochujang Green Beans
.
.1 lb green beans 2 garlic cloves, chopped 4 scallions, chopped / divided 2 tbls gochujang 1 tbls soy sauce 2 tsp agave nectar 1 tsp sesame oil2 tsp toasted sesame seeds salt to taste

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, drop the green beans and simmer them for 3 minutes. Drain and run under cold water to stop the cooking.
In a small bowl, combine together the gochujang, garlic, half of the scallions, soy sauce, agave, sesame oil, and toasted sesame seeds. Mix well.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and then add the sauce. Once the sauce starts to bubble and become slightly fragrant, add the green beans to the skillet.
Combine the sauce with the beans and let them cook together for a few minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining scallions. Check for seasoning and add salt if you need.
