If you (like us) agree that "Night Sky Interpretive Ranger" is an incredibly cool job title, you're going to want to learn more about Katherine Carver. When she graduates next month, Katherine will be taking her physics and math degrees to Great Basin National Park where she'll lead public programs focused on astronomy and help visitors engage with the night sky. 

About her UMBC experience, Katherine shares, "What made UMBC stand out to me was the collaborative culture among many of the undergraduate students, where we actively chose to support rather than compete with one another. That sense of shared effort and mutual support is what made my time at UMBC especially meaningful."
