Home sales hit 𝟐,𝟓𝟔𝟖 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 for December 2022, which is down 𝟒𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 from the 𝟒,𝟑𝟎𝟓 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 reported for the same period last year.

“While the market appears to have slowed substantially, we have simply moved into a neutral market phase. Sellers have plenty of equity to work with when they list, and buyers again have the flexibility to negotiate customary contingencies into their offers, like repairs and appraisal. It appears that interest rates have begun to stabilize and could land below 6% by the end of this quarter, which will further increase buying power."
