## Caption

Meet Alena Thai, a second-year Graphic Communication major concentrating in UX/UI. She will be one of the four students running the GrC Instagram this Spring quarter!

She began to design in her high school's entrepreneurship/marketing magnet program, where she took classes in graphic design, web design, and entrepreneurship (a capstone course in running an apparel customization company similar to UGS!). She continues the knowledge she learned in the magnet program by pursuing Graphic Communication at Cal Poly, and the journey only grows from here! When Alena is not designing, she loves to watch movies, read books, and listen to music, all while drinking boba!

"I have enjoyed every minute of my experience in the GrC pod thus far, learning and creating tangible and digital products! Everyone has a different palate, so it is always nice to see what they are creating and the behind-the-scenes processes. It also encourages me to think outside the box for my projects, which helps me learn more about my personal and designer identity.”
