New news‼️ A few weeks ago, Charlotte Smith, a fourth-year Graphic Communication student with a concentration in UX in Product Development, attended the[Pack]out, a healthcare packaging conference in Coronado, CA! This conference was a unique experience made for packaging professionals by packaging professionals.

There were various speakers, events, and demos that covered areas of healthcare packaging (e.g. sustainability, design, process, usability, materials, etc.). Swipe to peek at a usability demo of sterile packaging in which a hospital environment with a sterile field was stimulated. Volunteers had the chance to test the usability of different package designs by attempting to get the contents into the sterile field without compromising the sterility.

Charlotte was sponsored by the Oliver Healthcare Packaging team (pictured on the second slide) to attend the[Pack]out, where she also got to meet students from other schools such as Michigan State, San Jose State, and Cal Poly’s ITP and Marketing programs.

“My favorite part of the[Pack]out was the opportunity to meet and chat with so many intelligent and passionate people who had some great insights into the packaging industry.”
