Today is Earth Day, and a set of coordinates beneath the sea off Australia has become something more: YANGGAA FOREST.

Through Forests Without Names, you helped give this forest an identity by naming it and placing it on the map in support of its protection. 

A name creates attachment, and a place on the map creates accountability, bringing sea forests into clearer view and giving them a better chance to be recognized and understood.

This is only the beginning of the journey.

En ce Jour de la Terre, un ensemble de coordonnées sous la mer, au large de l’Australie, a pris vie sous le nom de FORÊT DE YANGGAA.
 
À travers l’initiative « Forêts sans nom », vous avez contribué à donner une identité à cette forêt en lui trouvant un nom et en la faisant apparaître sur une carte, aidant ainsi à assurer sa protection.
 
Un nom favorise l’attachement tandis qu’un emplacement géographique crée une responsabilité, offrant aux forêts sous-marines une plus grande visibilité et une meilleure reconnaissance.
