We are so lucky to have volunteers like Amber! 
 
She's been with us since October 2024, walking dogs at PetSmart and helping at events, like Parade of Paws and National Adoption Week. 
 
Amber shares, “I started volunteering because I used to work at an animal shelter and I know how helpful it is to have volunteers available to lend a hand, especially on busy days!” She loves continuing to help animals in her community and supporting shelter employees, “who I know work incredibly hard.” We truly appreciate Amber’s commitment to supporting both animals and the staff who care for them. 
 
Amber highly recommends volunteering as it “brightens your day just as much as it brightens the animals.” She adds that “The team here at SHS is incredible and volunteering is so, so worth it! Plus, your camera roll will be filled with pictures of cute animals, and who doesn’t want that?” 
 
Amber, we thank you for being amazing and always making our days shine brighter with your compassion.
