Volunteers like Dick and Karen remind us of the caring community we’re so lucky to have. 

With us since May 2024, they are always happy to support SHS in whatever way they can. They “love helping Spokane Humane Society care for and save animals in need,” whether that’s supporting National Adoption Week, connecting with potential adopters at Northpointe PetSmart, snuggling pups, or through donations. Their compassion and steady support mean a great deal to our team and the animals who come through our doors. 

They share that “the animals are always exceedingly thankful for the attention and care, and we know we are changing lives for the good regardless of what needs to be done.” Dick and Karen find the work very rewarding and are especially pleased when their support leads to new homes for our furry friends. They encourage others to get involved: “Many workers make light work for a very rewarding cause!” 

We’re so grateful for all you do, Dick and Karen. Our staff and animals thank you.
