Meet Jennifer: A volunteer who gives so much love to our whiskered friends! 

Jen has been volunteering at SHS since February 2025, and each time we see her, it is a pleasure. She always goes above and beyond at our Everyday Adoption Center at Northpointe PetSmart– brushing the cats, providing enrichment and interaction, taking photos, and spending quiet time with the ones who are having a hard time settling in. Jen also pays great attention to those who visit our felines by encouraging and modeling gentle petting for kids and engaging in meaningful conversations with adults. 

Jennifer says she loves volunteering at SHS. “Spending time with these critters is so rewarding, and I find it wonderful for my mental health, also! Seeing kitties warm up with a couple of cuddles and pets is so heartwarming. I enjoy being able to make suggestions to potential adopters and help find good pairings, too!”

It truly is small gestures of love that go a long way. Thank you, Jen. We see and greatly appreciate the love you have for the felines in our care.
