🎓 Congratulations, #Columbia2023 Graduates! 🎉

The Baccalaureate Service tradition began at Columbia in 1897 (with the campus move to Morningside Heights), and is believed to have originated at Oxford University in 1432 when students were required to deliver sermons in Latin as part of their academic exercises. Today, highlights of the interfaith and intercultural service include hymns, musical selections, readings, and reflections by students to celebrate the completion of their academic careers.
