🌳This island in the famous Cyclades is unlike any other of its neighbors including Santorini. Located just a short two hour ferry ride from Athens, the island of Andros offers authentic charm, peaceful beaches, less crowds, lower prices, and something quite unusual for this region of Greece… lush landscapes. It’s perfect for those seeking a quieter atmosphere, outdoor adventure, crystal clear water, local vibes, and is favorite among Greeks.
 
🌴Most of the Cycladic islands are dry and rocky but on Andros you can find springs, rivers, waterfalls, orchards, and lush valleys along with stunning coastline, pristine beaches, and traditional villages. 
 
🏝️During our 5 week trip throughout Greece this was one of our favorite places- it had a charm, authenticity, and beauty that we fell in love with! We stayed at Hotel Chryssi Akti, Sure Hotel Collection by bestwestern which was located directly on the beach in the magical town of Batsi. It was also just steps away from one of the most enchanting villages filled with local restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. And all of that plus, the complimentary breakfast and sun loungers, outdoor pool, free parking, and warm staff… we could not recommend staying at this property any more!
