Patchwork quilt cookies 🍪🧺 these cookies were definitely a “trust the process” kind of baking project, but I think the end result was absolutely worth the effort! ✨

Sugar Cookie Recipe-

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

1. Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
2. In a separate bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until a dough forms.
3. Divide the dough into discs, cover in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.
4. Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured surface before cutting out shapes.
5. Bake on a lined cookie sheet at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, or until edges are slightly golden.
