Creation has a way of stopping you in your tracks. Something so amazing, beautiful, and intriguing. Some moments you just don’t understand. It feels familiar, yet at the same time foreign. Something not fully seen, yet clearly there. A quiet beauty that cannot be grasped.

Scripture describes God’s glory thusly, not in exact detail, but an appearance of the likeness. It’s something seen, yet cannot be fully understood, nor fully described. A radiance that surrounds, a brilliance that goes far beyond. It’s not meant to be contained, but to be witnessed.

Creation is not the fullness of God’s glory, it is a glimpse. If we are so enamoured and in awe by creation, it being so wondrous, mighty, and beautiful, how much more then if these are but a faint reflection of something far greater? The LORD, who sits above all things, whose presence cannot be contained, and whose majesty cannot be measured.

There is only one response: to be brought low. To fall on our faces before the LORD. Creation pushes us to pause and consider, to sit in awe of the One who made it. The glory of the LORD, not fully revealed, but shown in ways that point us to Him.
