The year she missed 100 days of school, I was doing everything right.

Everything the professionals told me. 
Everything the internet said. 
I was the most compliant, most desperate, most exhausted parent in every waiting room.

It didn’t matter. 
The nervous system doesn’t care how hard you’re trying.

The research on the treatment we were all pointed toward shows 64% of kids still met anxiety disorder criteria after completing it.
