Petrol thefts have surged in the UK with one forecourt owner saying drive-offs are costing him £2,000 a week across his five sites.
 
According to new figures compiled for the BBC, the increase in thefts is a result of high fuel prices caused by the US-Israel war with Iran.
 
Some experts warn the thefts could also be contributing to higher prices at the pump.
