Do not go to Cuba 🇨🇺 without knowing these things;

Cuba is a colorful and vibrant country with some of the most amazing people you will ever meet. Before you go, there are a few things you should know:

1. Currency: The currency used in Cuba is Cuban pesos. I advise changing your money to USD and finding a reliable person to exchange it for Cuban pesos when you arrive In Cuba since the airport rates are not the most favorable. Make sure to have a decent amount of cash as cards are not widely accepted.

2. Tourist Card: Canadian citizens or anyone with a permanent resident card, work/study permit do not need a tourist card, as it’s included in your plane ticket and issued by the airline when taking a direct flight from Canada to Cuba. For travelers from other countries, you can check Type in Sherpa.com to check for visa requirements for your country 

3. Pre-Arrival Forms: 48 hours before your arrival in Cuba, you must complete the customs and health declaration form online. Once the form is completed, you will receive a QR code by email, which you will need to show to the authorities upon arrival.

Lastly, I traveled solo to Cuba and can assure you that it is very safe for all kinds of travel. You will fall in love with the beautiful vibrant colors, classic cars, and beautiful people in Cuba.
