We have a @tropikal_ottawa in ottawa now!!!
📍89 Clarence street 
I had the opportunity to try the bite-sized versions of some of the delicious items from their summer menu.
The meals are inspired by vibrant flavors of the Caribbean, West Africa, and Afro-Latin cuisine and I loved the mix of flavours.

Everything I tried;

. Tropikal ceviche: ceviche is with Leche de Tigre and coconut milk to balance the acidity. With fresh ginger, garlic and scotch bonnet for spiciness. Served with plantain chips

• Mini jerk chicken poutine: The Chef's first dish that put him on the map! Jerk poutine gravy with hand-cut Yukon gold fries, Quebec cheese curds topped with Tropikal’s famous Jerk chicken

• Spicy coconut shrimp: The Chef's play on a Caribbean staple where prawns are marinated in green seasoning, grilled to perfection and then sautéed in spicy coconut sauce and topped with fried coconut flakes. Not your ordinary fried coconut shrimp 

My favourite dish was the Jerk chicken poutine. It was such a unique and flavourful dish.
