On the broadcast, l a graphic shows who he thinks are the next best players. He’s vocal about which player he thinks each team should take, and he gets in many disputes from his loud opinions. NFL prospects are hard to guess. Football players can look different playing NCAA College Football vs. how their game correlates to a higher level against professional athletes.

It’s fun to look back at drafts and see what teams made good picks or not. I thought that this graphic was interesting, showing Mel Kiper Jr.’s top 5 quarterback prospects ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Next - DeShone Kizer - drafted from Notre Dame to the Cleveland Browns before Baker Mayfield, Green Bay Packers behind Aaron Rodgers, and Las Vegas Raiders who drafted Fernando Mendoza. Deshaun Watson from Clemson took the Houston Texans to the NFL playoffs before getting involved in a scandal. Now he rides the bench behind Shedeur Sanders. Luke Falk played for the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets in his short NFL career out of Washington State. Texas Tech Red Raider quarterback Patrick Mahomes, drafted by Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs, threw many touchdowns to Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, and Rashee Rice, along with Super Bowl, NFL MVP, and NFL records.

Scouting talent is difficult, and even people who are thought of as the best in the world are off in their projections. The NFL draft can be a baseline to the players ceiling and floor, but only games played will show football fans who is elite and who is a bust.
