When I was a kid, doctors told my parents I’d never be able to drive.
They said I’d never go to a regular school, never use a wheelchair, never have a real job, never live independently, and never have a family.

I heard “never” a lot growing up.
At some point, I stopped listening.
Turns out… they weren’t fortune tellers.

I wrote my own story.
