🇨🇦On 12th August, we’ll pass through the deepest, most concentrated part of the Perseids stream, making this the best night of the year to watch shooting stars.

How to watch:
🌌 Choose a dark sky preserve with clear weather and no moonlight.
🏞 Rural spots far from urban light pollution work great.
🚗 Even a provincial park parking lot can be a perfect setup spot.
🔭 No telescope needed-just your eyes and the open sky!

Best viewing spots in Ontario:
– Torrance Barrens Dark-Sky Preserve (Muskoka)
– Killarney Provincial Park
– Lake Superior Provincial Park
– Bon Echo Provincial Park
– Bruce Peninsula National Park
– Point Pelee National Park

Tips for the best view:
🔭 Give your eyes 20 minutes to adjust to the dark—no phone screens, no car lights, no streetlights, nothing. The longer you stay in darkness, the more meteors you’ll see.
🌙 Head out after midnight when the shower’s radiant is higher in the sky-this is prime shooting star time!
🛋 Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and warm layers.
☕ Pack snacks and a hot drink.
💫 Share the night with your favourite people.
