1. Tent Size and Capacity: Manufacturers often list the capacity based on the number of people the tent can fit, but this usually assumes a tight fit with minimal gear inside. It’s recommended to purchase a tent that accommodates double the number of occupants. For example, a 4-person tent for 2 people will provide extra space for backpacks and allow room to move around.

2. Purchase vs. Rent: 
- Purchasing a tent is ideal if you plan to camp frequently. However, you will need space to store it, and the initial cost might be higher. 
- For occasional or first-time campers, renting might make more sense. Although renting may seem like a lower cost initially, frequent rentals can add up to more than the cost of buying a tent. Additionally, renting means there’s no guarantee that a tent will be available whenever and wherever you need it.

3. Weight and Portability: 
- Lightweight tents are easier to carry but might compromise on space or durability.
- Packed Size : Check the packed size of the tent to ensure it fits within your transportation and storage constraints.
