Was I ever stupid? Absolutely! 
There was a time I did something really dumb. And I highly recommend learning what to do and what to avoid when encountering wildlife in Canada 🇨🇦.

1. **Don’t Approach**: Never approach or try to feed wildlife.
2. **Don’t Run**: Running can trigger a chase response.
3. **Don’t Make Loud Noises**: Avoid startling animals with loud noises or sudden movements.
4. **Don’t Leave Food Out**: Leaving food out can attract wildlife to human areas.
5. **Don’t Turn Your Back**: Keep the animal in sight as you slowly back away.
6. **Don’t Ignore Safety Signs**: Follow all posted safety guidelines and signs.

 What to Do When Encountering Wildlife in Canada

1. **Stay Calm**: Remain calm and avoid sudden movements.
2. **Keep Your Distance**: Observe animals from a safe distance to avoid startling them.
3. **Make Your Presence Known**: Speak calmly and make yourself appear larger if necessary.
4. **Back Away Slowly**: If the animal notices you, back away slowly without turning your back.
5. **Store Food Properly**: Keep food and scented items securely stored to avoid attracting wildlife.
6. **Carry Bear Spray**: In bear country, carry bear spray and know how to use it.
