🇨🇦 Canada Spring - Must do activities 😍
.
Moose, Canada’s majestic giants, are not just an emblem of the wilderness, but encountering one in the wild is a moment that etched itself into memory, creating a story for the ages.
.
📍 Highway 60 corridor, Algonquin Provincial Park
.
Best season for Moose watching : SPRING.
The application of road salt to Highway 60 during winter road maintenance operations , attracts Moose to roadside ditches.
.
Best time of the day : Moose are most active at dawn and dusk.
.
How to spot on the Highway 60 corridor :
1. Drive along the highway during dawn ideally, concentrating on low lying, wet areas such as ponds and beaver meadows.
2. You can also visit some of the interpretive trails along highway 60, such as the Beaver pond trail, the Sprice bog boardwalk, the Mizzy lake trail which are popular for Moose watching.
3. Take some break at Lake of two rivers cafe and grill, if needed along the drive.
.
🚨PLEASE NOTE🚨
1. Maintain safe distance from Moose, if you spot one. Please do not engage with this wild animal as it is highly unpredictable and aggressive by nature.
2. If a Moose approaches you, back off and look for a tree, fence or building to hide behind.
3. If the animal charges, run to the nearest obstruction.
4. Becareful around female@moose with calves, during the mating season.
5. Travel in groups and make constant noises while you travel through the woods.
.
So are you going to do this spring activity?
