Planning for a Mexico 🇲🇽 trip? Lemme help you make your travel more safer and enjoyable.

The best time to visit Mexico is between December to March. Mexico is a great destination with unique landscapes, flavors, music and art, however I strongly suggest you the following tips that would help you save money, keeps you safe and helps you to explore the cultural diversity.
1. Beware of car rental scams and hidden costs. So go with established car rental companies like Enterprise , Avis budget etc to have pleasant time.
2. Keep in mind that visiting Mexico during shoulder seasons like April and November, saves good money compared to the peak seasons.
3. Uber works in Cancun however local cab drivers mob the Uber drivers. So book Uber away from the crowded tourist locations.
4. Use public transport to travel within Cancun or to other cities. You can also chose this option to travel within Cancun or other city from Cancun airport. I used ADO buses and they are quite economical and convenient.
6. Avoid visiting during hurricane season.
7. Avoid all inclusive hotels as these would restrict you to explore the local culture. These are costly that would make you stay within the resort for most time however the real travel experience can be seen on the streets of Mexico.
8. Avoid Cancun’s hotel zone for stays as it is very costly and very crowded.
9. Do not drink tap water in Mexico, instead get filtered water bottles.
10. Pay with Pesos. Mexico doesn’t have a strong credit or debit card culture when it comes to paying for anything. Plus, many street stalls are a massive part of the Mexican food culture, so you want to have some cash with you to avoid bad exchange rates from the local merchants.
