## Caption

🇨🇦Ontario has no shortage of cute towns and villages, but if there is one that I particularly like, which is in Lanark County.

📍Almonte, Ontario
Almonte is a historic town less than an hour drive from Ottawa, is also a hallmark village. 
.
Summer is the perfect time to visit

Things to do:
1. Blakeny Rapids : A short trail by the Mississippi River rapids view. Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, kayaking, walking the trails and small bridges.
2. @joesalmonte : Either dine by a waterfall or rusting indoor dining, You must try their famous pinsa bread when you visit Almonte. Pinsa is a mix of sourdough, rice, soy, and wheat flour and imported directly from Rome. They are Canada’s first certified Pinsaria.
3. @hummingbirdchocolate Must try their hot chocolate and their chocolates. They also provide chocolate factory tours and tasting. 
4. @millofkintail conservation area : Great for hiking and skiing trails 
5. Plenty of cute vintage stores in the town of Almonte
6. @equatorcoffee A great coffee spot with ample seasonal options and indoor seating
7. Almonte River walk : You’ll get some great views of the Mississipi River as you walk along the boardwalk beside the water.
