 I am grateful that I found some amazing friends in Canada, but the journey to find meaningful connections was not that easy for me.
.
I moved to Canada 🇨🇦 during Covid, and hence I spent the first 2 years of my Canadian life without any friends. I did try to meet a few whom I found through social media, but due to various reasons, it never really worked for a long time. But fortunately I found some like-minded and extremely genuine people in Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️

Here’s how people abroad try to make friends:
•Join chat groups on various social media platforms and attend the meetups organized by the group or individually.
•Attend community events, local gatherings, social activities, and network.
• Network through workplace/student connections.

As an adult, finding friends abroad can be hard, everyone is busy and life happens. Best way to stay in touch is text your folks when u think about them, make efforts to meet them and be there thru thick and thin! 🫶
