In the hustle and bustle of it all, I nearly forgot to celebrate that this cheeky one turned 18 months several weeks ago. 

We celebrate every milestone. And this time around, we celebrate this littlest warrior. Her tenacity, fierceness, and sheer joy for life brings us so much happiness and laughter.

And while I share the celebrations, I’ll share the honest truth too…

I nearly forgot that this milestone also meant that I’m 18 months postpartum. 

I’m still healing. I’m still adjusting. I’m still working on me. 

The havoc of this past year and the disruptions in my life have only made this postpartum journey disorderly and at times heavy. 

And although it’s a journey of self-awareness, inner work, and acceptance, it’s tough - no one sees it or experiences it quite like the individual who endures it.

I’m vocal about this journey because moms matter. Parents matter. Our mental health matters. 

And this is why I’ve joined forces as an Ambassador with the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Collab, cpmhc to get loud about the need for a mental health strategy that provides and prioritizes equitable health care across all Canadian jurisdictions. The desperate need for culturally sensitive resources and support. The need for more training and education in this space. The need for SO much more for families.
