Let me remove this mysterious illusion and state the straight facts. It’s never rainbows and butterflies over here. Meltdowns. Never ending rationalizing with a 4 year old. Virtual school moderator. Making sure the 1 year old doesn’t attempt any sort of Wonder Woman moves (although I’m not complaining). Breakfast. Lunches. Snacks. Dinner. Laundry. Playing referee (this is a new one, who knew a 1 year old and 4 year old had so much zest and interest in the SAME EXACT TOY AT THE SAME EXACT MOMENT). Professional cuddler. Staying hydrated (what’s this?). WORKING. It’s a fucking shitstorm (not sorry for the heavy profanity tonight).

Our saving grace = nothing.

I don’t know what vicious test this is, but it’s skewing with us. To the point where we’re having to make some tough decisions about how we’re going to continue on like this. Parental burnout is imminent. And I know we’re not alone.

I’m filming a little BTS tomorrow to give a glimpse of what this shitstorm looks like. I’m sure it’s not necessary. But it’s the reality. A reality that I know many are facing right now. I’ve also decided to create a SURVIVAL GUIDE. Although it’s tough, we’ve also picked up on some tips (at least we think so) to help our sanity that we want to share with you. Stay tuned.
