Spontaneous mama thoughts: I was driving home this evening. Such a beautiful evening; windows rolled down and for once I wasn’t listening to the Wiggles (it’s embarrassing that I can recite every song). Suddenly a tune came on that just had me jamming. I turned up the volume (figuratively this time) and just jammed away. And even though I have my trusted “baby on board” sign proudly displayed, psh, that didn’t stop me. I couldn’t remember the last time I did this. And I was notorious for blasting my music in my car in my adolescent years. So much so, my dad bought me a whole new sound system for my first car. Weird how he agreed to that, but that’s besides the point. Seriously, what a liberating feeling it was tonight.

It was a serene evening with just me, myself, and my music. It could’ve been a lot different because my car almost failed to start on the way back home...but she pulled through and so did I, and here we are, feeling all fuzzy about life.

Anyone share the same sentiments? I mean, what’s the one thing you miss doing now that you’re a parent? If you don’t miss something that’s okay too! I didn’t even realize what I missed until I felt what I did tonight.
