This is my husband, Matt. Since re-launching my platform, I thought it might be nice to re-introduce my husband and the dada to my babies. For those who don’t know, Matt and I are two completely different human beings who are madly in love with one another. Aside from the obvious, we really are polar opposites. Matt likes being outdoors, I do not. I love shopping malls, Matt does not. I like mushrooms, he does not. Matt’s an introvert, and I’m an extrovert. How did we click? Great question.

On March 27th, Matt and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. I’d say that’s a pretty big milestone. During these 5 years, we have achieved great accomplishments: bringing two little humans into this world and making some pretty big life decisions. I’d be lying if I said it’s been rainbows and butterflies. I’m not ashamed to admit that we have had many moments of doubt and uncertainty. Our relationship will always be a work in progress, because that’s what commitment means to me and to us.

I’m writing a piece right now on our take at this marriage and raising kids gig as an interracial couple. When we started dating, we never noticed any differences, except the obvious, he’s Caucasian and I am South Asian - two completely different cultures. But then we got married. And then had kids. And now things have gotten real. Look out for this blog coming out soon!

Fun fact: This picture is from our engagement shoot 6 years ago. We got engaged in September, on Matt’s birthday, and we were hitched by March.
