Do you know the “Rule of 7”’? It is a common marketing adage that states: It takes at least 7 ‘touches’ in order to turn someone from a prospect into a customer. 

7 times that they’ve seen your ad in a magazine. 7 times that your commercial has flashed across their screen. 7 times that an email for your product or service is sent to their inbox. 7 times that your social media posts finds its way onto their feed.

However, it would probably be more effective and less boring (for both of you) if the 7 ‘touches’ were a mix of all these things: print ads, video, email, social media, etc. 

Conclusion - Effective marketing takes persistence and creativity. Don’t expect the world to shift just because you send out one email or place one set of ads. Keep trying to reach your audience with a variety of messages, through multiple channels, over a prolonged period of time.
