Nebraska volleyball is back on the road for its spring tour, this time heading to the western part of the state.

The Huskers will face Northern Colorado in Chadron, continuing a long-standing tradition of bringing the program to communities across Nebraska.

Previous stops have included Grand Island, Kearney, Ord and McCook. But these matches go beyond competition — they’re about connection.

“I think Chadron is more of a celebration of the state and taking our team all the way out west to enjoy the people out there,” head coach Dani Busboom Kelly said. “Northern Colorado will be a totally different type of team than what we’ve played, so how do we adjust? I want to see us get a little bit better.”

For the players, the experience is just as meaningful.

“It’s such a cool opportunity to travel around the state, especially with how much volleyball is celebrated here,” a Sophomore Outside Hitter, Teraya Sigler, said. “It’s the coolest thing to go to a random high school in Nebraska and just celebrate that we all love volleyball and support each other.”

As the spring season winds down, Nebraska is focused on finishing strong. The Huskers have already picked up wins over Iowa State and Creighton heading into their final stop.

“I know we only have one week left, so how can we enjoy that and set everybody up for an awesome offseason,” Busboom Kelly said. “We’ll have a really fun and really tough week.”
