Yesterday, 24 Maricopa Community Colleges students were named to the 2026 All-Arizona Academic Team, recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and volunteerism to their campus and communities.

Seven were also named Coca-Cola Academic Team scholars, with one student earning both All-USA Academic Team and New Century Transfer honors.

“Community colleges are the cornerstones of higher education,” said Dr. Steven R. Gonzales, Maricopa Community Colleges Chancellor. “We are the nation’s workforce engines, preparing a pipeline of students to address critical labor shortages. We deliver the best educational return on investment. It’s not just about affordability, but the measurable results a student gains once they earn a credential.”
