Shane and I are both starting a series of 6 ketamine treatments with harmonymentalhealth1.

We’ve both got things we’re working through. For me, this is specifically about anxiety tied to PTSD from medical trauma.

Ketamine is used in mental health care for things like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It works differently than most medications by targeting brain pathways connected to mood and stress, which can help reset patterns that feel stuck.

It’s not an everyday medication. It’s done in a clinical setting with medical supervision, and it’s often most helpful for people who haven’t found enough relief with traditional treatments.

Some people feel a shift right away. For others, it takes a few sessions or even the full series to notice consistent changes. It’s very individual, and something that gets evaluated along the way with your provider.

I’m also trying an at-home option alongside this, the NeuroVana Calm Ultra, which I’m getting through Harmony Mental Health. It’s an FDA-cleared device designed to support anxiety, sleep, and stress without medication using gentle brain stimulation. Personally I love that it helps me get into a deeper state of meditation. I’ll be using it for a couple of weeks and will share what I think.
