## Caption

This is a Dymaxion map projection created by Buckminster Fuller, which projects Earth onto an icosahedron and unfolds it to reduce distortion. It does preserve shapes and relative sizes of continents better than many maps and shifts distortion to oceans. However no flat map can be fully accurate, so distances and directions are still not perfectly preserved, making it visually effective but not completely precise.
