Y’all know I love a good sober/daytime dancing. As I go to more and more events in NYC and share tons on my stories, people ask me for recs. Below are my top 3 organizers at the moment. Follow them all for the tix and dates, and see you on the dance floor! 

ecstaticdancenyc : the first sober dance event I’ve  done and I hold it close to my heart ever since. Love the music, love the venues (dancing in a Church or a Synagogue is quite an experience), takes place either in daytime on weekends or early evening. It’s also not just dancing, there are a lot of connection and purposeful movement exercises or yoga before the dance session - highly recommend for people in the performing arts! All the love myk2melo 🙏

dybrkr : THE legendary early morning sober dancing event with an amazing community. Good for bringing kids, good for people who go to the office and want to start their day right, good for “burners” at heart who don’t need a desert or drugs to light up the dance floor. 

matinee.nyc : a recent discovery for me, a very popular event (tickets sell out in an instant!) tailored for millennial professionals who want to party at full force at 6pm and get home by midnight. Moi, please! The music is great too, all oldies but goodies you just cannot not bop and jump to. 

Honorable mention descendants.rec : fav Afro Beats in town, great location (silobrooklyn) and maybe the only thing that will ever make me crawl out to Brooklyn. Mostly nighttime parties but a daytime event here and there which I LOVE. Hey meedymusic please do more daytime!
