November 9th, 2025- our Haldi.

The very first ceremony. The beginning of it all. The moment where everything shifted from planning to living. It was also my first real interaction with everyone who had taken the effort to travel all the way to Pushkar, just to celebrate me and Arham. That thought alone felt overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

But if I’m being completely honest, beneath all the excitement, I was nervous. Restless, even. I kept searching the crowd for familiar comfort, my friends, and most of all, Arham. I knew the moment I’d see them, I’d finally exhale.

And then, Haldi unfolded.

It turned out to be the most vibrant, high-spirited celebration of them all. There was laughter in the air, music in every corner, and this infectious energy that made it impossible not to smile. Everyone was so present, so full of joy and it felt like the kind of happiness you wish you could bottle.

Looking back now, there’s a small part of me that wishes I could return to that day… not to change anything, but to feel it all again, a little slower, a little deeper.

Because in the middle of all that color and chaos, I was also that bride. The one quietly juggling a hundred thoughts —
Will the blouse fit perfectly?
Is my makeup okay?
Are the guests comfortable?
Did my friends arrive on time?
Are the rooms and food taken care of?

My mind was everywhere.

And yet, through it all, there was one steady thought anchoring me:
If Arham and our families are by my side, everything else can wait.

That was my calm in the chaos.

And somewhere between all those fleeting worries, there was also so much love. So much anticipation. I had prepared those dances for Arham with such excitement. Every step, every song chosen with him in mind. I couldn’t wait to just be in that moment, dancing with him, celebrating us.

That day wasn’t perfect in the way I had tried to plan it.
It was perfect in the way it made me feel.
