Healing is a long journey. Sometimes it feels like a never-ending road, and it can be so exhausting waiting for your body to catch up to where your mind wants to be.

But then, you take a step back. You look at the bigger picture—sometimes looking back at an entire year—and you realize just how incredibly far you’ve actually come. 🥹✊🏽

At the end of October, I had a full hysterectomy and a mastectomy revision surgery. For six long months, I’ve been resting, slowly recovering, and waiting patiently for this exact moment.

This month, I am officially healed enough to start *really* pushing my body again. ( everyone’s version of pushing their body is different)

I’m finally ready to hit my training harder, and let me tell you, the relief of stepping into the gym and not worrying about ripping stitches out….😅

I know I still need to give myself grace. I will continue to have patience with this new body and the hormones I’m learning to navigate. But from here on out, I’m stepping into a new chapter of strength, and I couldn’t be more excited.

If you are in the thick of a long recovery right now: be patient with yourself. The progress is happening, even when it feels slow. Take a step back and look at your own growth. You’ve got this. 🤍
