May is National Military Service Appreciation Month and we’re honored to kick it off by announcing the winner of the GRINDS EVERYDAY HEROES INDY 500 CONTEST– Byron.⁠

Byron served our country as a Navy helicopter pilot for over 30 years. His career is a true reflection of sacrifice, leadership, and a commitment to something bigger than himself—exactly what the Grinds Everyday Heroes campaign stands for.⁠

What makes Byron’s story even more meaningful is his family’s legacy of service—both his Father and Grandfather flew in the Navy. That legacy continues today: he was nominated by his son, who is currently serving in the Navy.⁠
