✂️Scissors evolved from early one-piece designs used in ancient Egypt and Rome into the paired pivot design still used today. Blade length, point shape, grip design, and leverage varies by the type of material you are using. A good pair of scissors can last years if you take care of them. Clean them after cutting tape, avoid using lightweight scissors on thick materials, and keep blades sharp by cutting folded foil or sandpaper.
