Where are you based? Supima is grown on over 500 family farms throughout California and the American West and Southwest.

What problem are you addressing? Customers care where and how their clothes are made. Supima provides softer, stronger, and longer lasting luxury cotton that is grown entirely in the United States and is forensically traceable back to where it was grown. This ensures the cotton grown is harvested ethically and sustainably.

Biggest achievement: Being able to work with a vast network of leading global brands that choose to use superior American cotton that is fully traceable. That, and being able to amplify the work of emerging designers every year through our Supima Design Competition at NYFW, and the Supima Design Lab at PFW.

Biggest barrier: All the greenwashing and unsubstantiated sustainability claims at retail make it so hard for consumers to know what is the right decision to make about purchases.  For Supima, Educating consumers on the importance of traceable cotton and knowing where and how your textiles are made is a top priority.

Something you want people to know or learn: Supima cotton is farmed using state-of-the-art technology and processes. From GPS navigation used on tractors to plant and harvest the cotton, to satellite technology and soil monitors, Supima farmers ensure they are growing the best quality cotton in the world with as little impact on the environment as possible.
