He is raising awareness around Plastic Pollution and mainly focusing on single-use plastic packaging and its overproduction / consumption. 

Biggest achievement: Hiking the entire coast of Portugal (1152km) to meet and build a network of +100 NGOs/initiatives and 560 people to raise awareness together as a community. 

Biggest barrier: Relying on recycling: Plastic is not efficiently recycled. In fact, worldwide just 14% of plastic is recycled. If we keep recycling as a main option, we won't solve the issue as too many different types of plastic get produced and create  a trash mountain. 

Something you want people to know or learn:
Researchers have found microplastic in the human plazenta. Microplastic is found in drinking water, in food - we are surrounded by plastic and it affects all of us. Therefore, it s so important to find alternative ways and refuse. 

Something that everyone can do: Refuse plastic as much as possible. The impact of a plastic bag for a fruit, plastic cup for a coffee, plastic bottle is way too big and harmful for nature. Go slow and reuse as much as possible. 💚
